RCARO to Host Regional Workshop for Women in Nuclear in the RCA, 24-26 June 2025, Incheon, KoreaIn a landmark move to advance gender equality in nuclear science and technology in the RCA region, the RCA Regional Office (RCARO) will host the Regional Workshop for Women in Nuclear in the RCA from June 24 to 26, 2025, in Incheon, Republic of Korea. This three-day event is expected to bring together participants from across the Asia-Pacific region in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual sessions. The workshop is a direct response to recommendations made at the 39th Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) of RCARO and endorsed by the 53rd RCA General Conference Meeting (GCM). It marks the first RCA-dedicated platform focused exclusively on the representation and empowerment of women in the nuclear sector. Representatives from the RCA Government Parties as well as partner organizations such as the IAEA, UN Women etc. will gather to share the success stories of the region and discuss future strategies for expanding women's participation in the region. The 47th RCA Meeting of National Representatives was held in Nadi, Fiji on 20-23 May 2025The 47th RCA Meeting of National Representatives Nadi, Fiji on 20-23 May 2025 The 47th Meeting of National RCA Representatives (NRM) was held from 20 to 23 May 2025 in Nadi, Fiji, with participation from 21 RCA Government Parties, the IAEA, RCARO, FNCA, and Pacific island observers. The Meeting featured the designation of Fiji as the new RCA Chair, the soft launch of the RCA Socioeconomic Impact Assessment on Air Quality, and updates on the implementation of the 2024 RCA programme. Discussions also covered RCA project development for upcoming RCA Programme, RCARO’s recent activities, and ongoing efforts to enhance regional cooperation. A cultural programme and technical visits were organized as part of the event. The participants appreciated the RCA Chair and Fiji government for hosting the successful meeting and excellent hospitality.

RCARO Hosts Promotional Booth at 2025 KNS Spring Conference in JejuThe 2025 KNS (Korean Nuclear Society) Spring Conference is taking place from 21 to 23 May 2025 at the International Convention Center(ICC) in Jeju, Korea. The RCA Regional Office is participating with a promotional booth, aiming to raise awareness of RCA's mission and highlight key achievements to stakeholders from various nuclear-related institutions. The conference also presents an opportunity to establish new partnerships within the nuclear community. By engaging with attendees from industry and academia, the RCARO seeks to strengthen cooperation and expand outreach efforts within the nuclear sector, enhancing its visibility among key players.
