In a landmark move to advance gender equality in nuclear science and technology in the RCA region, the RCA Regional Office (RCARO) will host the Regional Workshop for Women in Nuclear in the RCA from June 24 to 26, 2025, in Incheon, Republic of Korea. This three-day event is expected to bring together participants from across the Asia-Pacific region in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual sessions.

 

The workshop is a direct response to recommendations made at the 39th Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) of RCARO and endorsed by the 53rd RCA General Conference Meeting (GCM). It marks the first RCA-dedicated platform focused exclusively on the representation and empowerment of women in the nuclear sector.

 

Representatives from the RCA Government Parties as well as partner organizations such as the IAEA, UN Women etc. will gather to share the success stories of the region and discuss future strategies for expanding women's participation in the region.
