    PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a deviation between a set dose target value which is set as a threshold value of radiation exposure and a dose index value at the time of actual imaging, and perform proper dose management.SOLUTION: A radiation imaging system comprises: a radiation imaging device including a dose detection pixel for detecting a dose of radiation radiated from a radiation source; and an imaging control device for controlling the radiation imaging device. The imaging control device identifies a position of the dose detection pixel in a region of interest for calculating a dose index value for a radiation image before radiation imaging, determines a threshold value dependent on the position of the dose detection pixel, and sends the position and the threshold value of the dose detection pixel to the radiation imaging device. The radiation imaging device sets the position and the threshold value of the dose detection pixel in the region of interest sent from the imaging control device, and performs imaging on the basis of the settings.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    A method and system for performing online adapted radiotherapy are provided using combined ultrasound and ionizing radiation induced acoustic imaging (iRAI) computed tomography imaging techniques that can be used for measurement of low to ultrahigh dose deliveries (40 Gy/s). Multiplexed transducers detect US and iRAI signals allowing for anatomical/functional imaging and radiation mapping with absolute dosimetry measurements of a region of interest during a radiotherapy session. Corrections to radiation dosage intensities and locations is determined and provided as feedback to a radiation source to improve the accuracy of applied radiation dosages intra- or inter-radiotherapy treatment sessions preventing the irradiation of healthy tissues and ensuring the accurate delivery of radiation to a tumor or region of interest.
